RESERVE PROGRAM

The main purpose of maintaining a Reserve Program is to provide volunteer law enforcement support to the patrol division and to provide a trained pool of deputies from which the Sheriff's Office may recruit. The Reserve Program provides Reserve Deputies the opportunity to serve their communities and gain certified training in the Law Enforcement field.

Reserve Deputies assist full time deputies handling calls for service and investigations, conduct traffic enforcement, make arrests, write reports and testify in court. Reserve Deputies may also be called upon to work special assignments, such as crime scene security, extra patrol assignments, and assist with special county events.
