On July 28, 2012, at approximately 11:18PM, Deputy Rene Lopez of the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office responded to an abandoned 911 call at a residence in the Panther Creek area of Otis. Upon arriving, Deputy Lopez contacted the complainant who told him he had a dispute with his son prior to law enforcement arrival and his son was still inside the residence.
Deputy Lopez contacted 24 year old, Jacob Dean Evjen-Kress of Otis, OR, and while interviewing Evjen-Kress learned that another Sheriff's Office deputy had probable cause to arrest Evjen-Kress on a unrelated incident. Based on the other officer's probable cause, Deputy Lopez arrested Evjen-Kress for the crimes of Violation of No Contact Order and Criminal Mischief II, then transported him to the Lincoln County Jail where he was lodged on $30,000 bail.
