On April 9, 2012, Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy Eric Larson was dispatched to contact a complainant regarding a theft that occurred in March 2012. During the course of the investigation, Deputy Larson learned that 47 year old Newport resident Brian Lee Page had unlawfully sold the complainant a cellular phone and cellular phone plan.
On April 14, 2012, deputies contacted Page in Newport and obtained his statement. Page was subsequently cited for Theft II by deception and released at the scene.
