Summary:
On March 31, 2012, Deputy Gary Davey with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint
regarding automobile parts and tools being stolen from vehicles stored on private property in the area of mp 1
of 1000 Line Road, Toledo, OR.
Deputy Davey's investigation revealed that over the course of approximately one month, 32 year old Jason A
Suter and 32 year old Jonathon D Moffatt, both of Toledo, OR, had been stealing automobile parts and tools
from the victim. On April 5, 2012, Deputy Davey made contact with Suter and Moffatt and arrested both
subjects. Moffatt was transported to the Lincoln County Jail and lodged for the crimes of Unlawful Entry into a
Motor Vehicle, Criminal Trespass II, Theft II, and Criminal Mishchief II. Moffatt's bail was set at $52,500.00.
Suter was cited and released for the crimes of Unlawful Entry into a Motor Vehicle, Theft II, and Criminal
Trespass II.
The investigation later determined that William Allison was upset with his wife and intentionally burned the property.
During the investigation a large amount of stolen property was recovered and the investigation is being continued for possible additional charges.
