On March 10, 2012 at about 4:40 PM Lincoln County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a gunshot wound at the Caldwell Banker Real Estate Office in Yachats. The investigation determined that business owner, Glenn Little, age 72 of Yachats, died at the scene in his office as a result of a single self inflicted gunshot wound. He was discovered by an employee of the office who called 911.
Scene investigating Deputy Cliff Cox stated, "The Caldwell Banker employees should be commended for their ability to pull together during this tragic event and work with the deputies with family notification and dealing with facility issues." The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office extends condolences to the family, friends, Caldwell Banker staff, and to the community of Yachats.
