Summary:
On October 19, 2011, at 12:20 PM, Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy David Boys conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle in the area of N. North Bank Road and N. Deer Valley Road, Otis, Oregon. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 30 year old Darren L. Taylor of Lincoln City, Oregon. During the traffic stop Taylor was contacted by a probation officer and detained for probation violation. Additional investigation at the scene led deputies to contact Taylor regarding his involvement in multiple residential burglaries that had occurred in the Roads End neighborhood of Lincoln City.
On October 27, 2011, Taylor, who was currently lodged at the Lincoln County Jail, was charged with four counts of Burglary I, three counts of Theft I, two counts of Theft II, two counts of Criminal mischief I and II, and one count of Unlawful entry into a motor vehicle. His bail was set at $925,000.
