On April 10, 2011 at about 0045 hours, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy Eric Sorby responded to the area of Yaquina Bay Rd near MP 5 for a report of a disturbance involving a knife.
Deputy Sorby, with the assistance of Oregon State Police, located the suspect, David Wayne Grant, age 51 of Stayton on scene. The investigation revealed that Grant had threatened another male on scene with a knife during an argument.
Grant was taken into custody for Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Menacing. Grant was transported to the Lincoln County Jail where his bail was set at $65,000.00.
