On 12/13/10 at approxiamtey 4:00 pm Lincoln County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to the area of Newport Marine and RV. Initial report was a subject pointed a rifle at two subjects and threatened to shoot them. Lincoln County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Newport Police. The investigation revealed two subjects were attempting to retrieve property from Mr. Lake at the east end of Stoker Rd. An argument broke out between a male subject and Lake which turned physical and ended with Lake taking a rifle from his motor home and pointing at two subjects and threatened to shoot them. It was determined Lake was a convicted felon and was not to possess firearms. Two rifles and ammunition were located near the motor home.
On 12/13/10 at approximately 5:00pm 46 year old Michael L. Lake was taken into custody on 2 counts each of Felon in Possession of Firearms, Menacing, and Pointiing a Firearm at Another. Lake is currently on the Lincoln County Jail on $160,00.00 bail.
