On November 18th, 2010 at about 11:00 PM, Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a physical domestic disturbance in the 400 Block of N Pleasure Dr in Otis. When deputies arrived they discovered that Benton Roy Bones, age 58, of Otis had stuck his 27 year old son in the head with a glass and repeatedly punched him in the head while he was on the ground. The investigation also revealed that Bones destroyed the phone while the 911 call was being made from the home. Deputy Eric Sorby placed Bones in custody and transported him to the Lincoln County Jail. Bones was lodged for Assault II, Harassment, and Interfering with a 9-1-1 call. Bones’ bail was set at $275,000.00.
