Time Occurred: Approximately 10:00 am
Location: Driftwood Mobile Home Village, Seal Rock, OR

Summary:

On September 20, 2010 at approximately 10:18am, Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to a disturbance between a woman and her boyfriend at the Driftwood Mobile Home Village in Seal Rock, Oregon. The initial report received by the Lincoln County 911 Dispatch Center (LinCom) was that the male had pulled a knife on the female and then left the scene on foot. Deputies contacted a witness living in the area who said the male and female had been visiting her and had argued in their car while parked in front of the witness' residence. The male left the area on foot and the female drove to a relative's house in Newport prior to the deputies arriving on scene.

A check of the area was conducted for the male, but he was not located. One of the Deputies located and interviewed the involved female at a residence in Newport. The female stated that her boyfriend, William Schreiber, 18 years of age from Corvallis, Oregon, had pulled a knife during the argument and charged at her while holding the weapon over his head. The female fled on foot and was able to return to her car and drive off after he walked away.

At approximately 12:02pm, Sheriff's Deputies located Schreiber walking along Highway 101 in the area of Milepost 154. Schreiber was arrested and lodged at the Lincoln County Jail on one count of Domestic Menacing and held on $15,000 bail.
