On July 24, 2010 at about 11:00 PM, Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a report of a fight near the carnival area at the Toledo Summer Festival in Toledo, Oregon.
Deputies Eric Sorby and Karl Vertner arrived on scene and learned that Daniel R Rayos, 25, of Newport, had been involved in a physical altercation with another male. Rayos was highly intoxicated and became confrontational when the deputies tried to detain him in handcuffs. Rayos resisted the deputies while they escorted him out of the festival. Rayos continued to resist deputies prior to being secured in a patrol car.
Deputy Sorby conducted a search of Rayos during which a Marijuana pipe and a small amount of Marijuana was found on his person.
Rayos was transported to the Lincoln County Jail where he was lodged on charges of Disorderly Conduct II and Resisting Arrest. Rayos’ bail was set at $30,000.00. Rayos received a citation for Marijuana possession.
