Sheriff Dotson is pleased to announce that additional cognitive programming has been started in the Lincoln County Jail.
On Friday June 25th, 2010 Deputy Ty Rae Risewick instructed a class with 13 female inmates on various topics. The topics included, awareness of negative thinking and how it impacts your life, positive self talk and a brief overview of The Four Agreements (be impeccable with your word; don’t take anything personally; don’t make assumptions and always do your best) by Don Miguel Ruiz.
The inmates in attendance were receptive to the class and appreciative of the time used for programming. Several inmates expressed their interest in future classes. They were each given a homework assignment and were eager to complete them.
If you are interested in volunteering for inmate programming at the Lincoln County Jail, and have an area of expertise, please contact Deputy Ty Rae Risewick (trisewick@co.lincoln.or.us or 541-265-4277 ext. 7154).
