On April 13, 2010 the Newport Police Department requested the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office conduct a Welfare Check on a female who resides in the Makia residential area in Seal Rock, Oregon. Sr. Deputy Cummings responded and observed injuries on the female consistent with a recent Domestic Violence Assault. After completing the investigation, Sr. Deputy Cummings arrested David Alan Stick, age 50 of Seal Rock, for Assault IV (Domestic Felony) and Strangulation. Mr. Stick was lodged at the Lincoln County Jail and his bail was set at $65,000.
