On April 8th 2010 at about 1730 hours, Deputy Davey with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office arrested and booked Jose Lopez-Ernandez 27 of Newport into the Lincoln County Jail after having found Lopez-Ernandez harvesting salal without a permit and in a restricted harvesting area. Lopez-Ernandez was booked into the Lincoln Jail after failing to produce any form of identification and Deputy Davey finding Lopez-Ernandez to be in possession of a photo, which was cut from an identification card of some sort. An INS hold was also placed on Lopez-Ernandez.
