On April 7th 2010 Lincoln County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Shanks, Sgt. Cameron and Deputy Davey responded to and located a 15 year-old young man, who became lost while riding his mountain bike East of Big Creek Reservior. The 15 year-old called 911 from his cell phone after failing to find his way and it having become dark and rainy. The deputies were able to drive directly to the juvenile's location because the 911 call made from his cell phone provided dispatch with a GPS reading from a locator in his phone. The juvenile was found to be only a little cold, wet and somewhat embarrassed.
