On January 27, 2010, a deputy with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office received an anonymous report concerning an underage drinking party at a residence off Crestline Drive in Waldport. The deputy located the residence and made contact with eight persons consuming alcohol. Upon further investigation, the deputy issued citations to six of the eight subjects at the party, who were under the age of 21, for the violation of Minor in Possession of Alcohol - by Consumption. All minors who were issued citations for MIP will have a mandatory court appearance. The investigation is continuing regarding who furnished the alcohol.
