On January 28, 2010 at about 8:10 pm, deputies with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a reported assault between brothers at the Alsea Bay Manor in Waldport. The investigation revealed that Timothy William Barnes, age 42 of Waldport, had assaulted his brother then fled on foot prior to the deputies' arrival. Approximately one hour later one of the deputies located and arrested Barnes. Barnes was transported to the Lincoln County Jail where he was lodged on the crime of Assault IV, Domestic, with bail set at $15,000.00.
