On January 16, 2010, at 8:25 PM, Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy David Boys was dispatched to a domestic disturbance occurring at 240 SW Greenwood Way in Waldport. While en route, dispatch notified the deputy that the female involved in the disturbance, Sally Jane Carter, 60 from Waldport, was intoxicated and just left driving a newer Chrysler 300M. She was last seen driving south on Crestline Drive in Waldport. Deputy Boys checked the area and eventually located the suspect and vehicle back in her driveway on SW Greenwood Way. Deputy Boys located Carter and saw signs of impairment. He conducted an investigation and placed Carter under arrest for DUII. She was transported to the Lincoln County Jail, where she took the breath test showing her blood alcohol concentration at .11%. Carter was lodged at the jail with a $15,000 bail.
