On November 17, 2009 at approximately 8:58 pm, deputies with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office investigated a single vehicle traffic crash in the Waldport area. The deputies noticed signs of impairment with the driver and a DUII investigation was initiated. After failing field sobriety tests, Shawna Lee Leary, 33, of Waldport, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants and transported to the Lincoln County Jail. After arriving at the jail, Leary provided a breath sample revealing a blood alcohol concentration of 0.17%. Ms. Leary was lodged in jail on $15,000.00 bail and her vehicle was impounded at the scene.
