On October 2nd, 2009 at 10:10 pm, Deputy Sites of the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office observed a 1999 Dodge Durango make an unsignaled turn from Hwy 101 onto NW Willow in Waldport. As Deputy Sites turned onto to NW Willow to initiate a traffic stop, the driver parked his vehicle and ran from the scene. Deputy Sites caught the driver after a brief foot pursuit. He was identified as Timothy Wade Morgan, 39, of Waldport. An investigation revealed Morgan's driver license was Criminally Suspended and he was driving under the influence of intoxicants. Morgan was arrested for DUII and DWS-Misdemeanor and transported to the Lincoln County Jail, where he provided a breath sample of 0.15 %.
