On August 16, 2009 at 11:50pm, Lincoln county Sheriff's Deputy Cliff Sites responded to a report of an intoxicated subject in the 100 block of SW Maple Street in Waldport. Deputy Sites learned that John Gregory Lankford, 59, of Hillsboro, had entered the back yard of a vacation rental in the area and began pounding on the windows and yelling, which frightened the family staying inside.
Deputy Sites contacted Lankford and subsequently arrested for Disorderly Conduct and lodged at the Lincoln County Jail with a total bail of $10,000.
