On August 7, 2009 at 11:50pm, Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy Cliff Sites and a Newport Police Officer responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at the American Inn and Suites in Waldport, Oregon.
An investigation revealed that Rodney Paul Tiahrt, 56, of Bend, had hit his girlfriend in the mouth during an argument causing her pain and swelling to her lip.
Tiahrt was arrested for DOMESTIC ASSAULT IV and lodged at the Lincoln County Jail with a bail of $15,000.
