On July 27, 2009 at 7:05pm, Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy Cliff Sites responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 400 block of NE Wyoming Street in Yachats, Oregon.
The complainant told Deputy Sites that her husband, Patrick Bobear Irish, age 60 of Yachats, had become enraged during an argument and tried to hit her with a metal lawn chair. She also showed Deputy Sites injuries she had received from Irish two days prior.
After an extensive search of the area, Deputy Sites located Irish hiding in the bushes on a neighbor's property. Irish was arrested and charged with Domestic Assault IV and Menacing. Irish was lodged at the Lincoln County Jail with a bail of $30,000.
