On July 25th, 2009 at 10:00 pm, Deputies with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, along with Officers from Newport Police and Oregon State Police, responded to a report of a stabbing near Milepost 4, on Eckman Creek Road.
An investigation revealed Kari Williams, 52 of Waldport, had stabbed her husband in the stomach and the leg during an argument causing him substanital internal injuries. Williams' husband was transported to PCH by ambulance, his injuries required emergency surgery.
On 07/26/09 Deputies located Kari Williams in a trailer near milepost 3 on Highway 34. She was arrested for ASSAULT I- DV and UNLAWFUL USE OF A WEAPON. She was lodged at the Lincoln County Jail with a total bail of $300,000.
