On July 11, 2009 at approximately 3:00 P.M. Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy Colin Teem observed an SUV traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound on Hwy 20 near milepost 8. As Deputy Teem attempted to conduct a traffic stop the vehicle attempted to elude by turning into a driveway to avoid the deputy. Deputy Teem turned into the driveway and observed a subject fleeing from the vehicle. The subject was apprehended and identified as Shawn Harrison Tull, 34 years of age from Eugene, OR. The investigation revealed he was a passenger in the vehicle.
It was discovered that Tull had an outstanding Felony warrant from Colorado for Sex Abuse with a bail of $100,000.00. Tull also had an outstanding warrant for Traffic Crimes from Junction City and an outstanding Felony Warrant from Lane County for Felon in Possession of a Weapon and Unlawful Discharge of a Weapon with Physical Injury.
Tull was taken into custody and transported to the Lincoln County Jail. Tull was lodged on one count of Fugitive from another state and the two outstanding warrants issued out of Lane County. Tull had a bail set at $250,500.00.
