On July 3, 2009 at about 7:00 PM, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy Eric Sorby arrested Eddie L Bowdish, 51, of Newport on a traffic stop in the 600 block of E Olive St in Newport. Bowdish was a passenger on the traffic stop. While Deputy Sorby was speaking with Bowdish he observed recent signs of Heroin use. A search of Bowdish was conducted and he was found to be in possession of used hypodermic needles and other Heroin paraphernalia. Bowdish was transported to the Lincoln County Jail where he was lodged on Unlawful Possession of Heroin. Bowdish’s bail was set at $100,000.00.
