Summary:

On 06-10-09 at approximately 1:15 P.M., Lincoln County Sheriffs Deputies assisted by the Oregon State Police and the Lincoln City Police Department responded to a report of a Robbery which had just occurred at the West Coast Bank in Depoe Bay Oregon. It was reported that a white male entered the bank, handed the teller a note stating he wanted all the $100.00, $50.00, $20.00, $10.00, and $5.00 bills be put into a bag the male provided. The note also stated the male had a gun and the teller had thirty seconds to comply. The male left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

Lincoln County Parole and Probation Officer Susie O'Toole, who is also a reserve deputy with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, located Walt Campbell Miller, age 26 of Lincoln City, in the area and matching the description of the robbery suspect. Lincoln County Sheriffs Office Detectives conducted an investigation and arrested Miller for Robbery I and Menacing. Miller was lodged at the Lincoln County Jail and his bail is set at $165,000.00.

Detectives completed and executed a search warrant on the back pack Mr. Miller had in his possession at the time of his contact and arrest. Items of evidence of the crime were found in the back pack including money taken from the bank and the demand note.
