On May 23rd 2009 at 1:20 am, Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy Cliff Sites initiated a traffic stop on a white Ford Aspire on Hwy 101 near SW Case in Newport for traveling at 56 MPH in a 35 MPH zone.
uring contact with the driver, Rebecca Ann Sheppard, 48 years old of Monroe, Deputy Sites noted signs of impairment. An investigation revealed Shepard was Driving Under the Influence of Intxicants. She was arrested for DUII and RECKLESS DRIVING and transported to the Lincoln County Jail where she provided a breath sample of 0.13 %. Shepard's bail was set at $30,000.
