On May 14, 2009 at approximately 2:34am, Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to a reported assault in the 5000 Block of Salmon River Highway, Rose Lodge, Oregon. Upon arrival, deputies learned the victim, an elderly male, awoke to a younger male knocking on his door requesting to use his telephone. The victim escorted the younger male next door to the Rose Lodge Grange Hall to provide him with a telephone. Upon entering the office area of the Grange Hall, the young male attacked the victim from behind, striking him in the head, and stole his wallet. The young male then locked the victim inside the Grange office and fled the scene. The victim was transported to Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital by ambulance for non life-threatening injuries he sustained from the assault.
The suspect is described as a white male adult, approximately 20-25 years of age with short or shaved dark colored hair. He is approximately 5'07" to 5'10" tall with a thin build wearing gray colored clothing. The suspect is believed to be traveling in a newer model white, full-sized sport utility vehicle with out of state license plates. The suspect may be accompanied by another white male adult, approximately 50 years of age with gray hair, and a white female adult, also 50 years of age, with red hair.
The suspect is believed to have frequented the Rose Lodge area for the past five to six months.
