At about 4:22 pm, 29 April 2009, members of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and Central Coast Fire and Rescue responded to milepost .4 on E Five Rivers Road, Tidewater, for a report of a vehicle upside down in the river. Emergency responders located the driver inside the vehicle, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Cause of the accident is being investigated by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and Medical Examiner’s Office. Identity of the driver is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
