On April 26th, 2009 at 8:22 pm, Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a report of a Domestic disturbance at a residence in the 100 Block of E 6th St in Yachats.
An investigation revealed that John Werline, 51, of Yachats had struck his live-in girlfriend in the face and threatened her life. Deputies also learned of a separate incident that occurred two days prior in which Werline is alledged to have threatened his girlfriend with a knife.
Werline was arrested and lodged at the Lincoln County Jail on two counts of DOMESTIC MENACING and one count of HARASSMENT with a total bail of $40,000.
