On April 19, 2009 Sheriff's Deputies responded to a report of a traffic crash near the entrance to Idaho Point Marina, in South Beach, Oregon. Deputies learned from witness at the scene, that Brandon C. Inglis, 33, of South Beach sped out of the Marina parking lot in a vehicle at a high rate of speed causing him to lose control of the vehicle and crash into a dirt embankment near the entrance to the marina. One of the two passengers in the vehicle sustained injuries and was transported to the hospital by a witness for treatment. Inglis left the scene of the crash on foot and at the time of the incident Deputies were unable to locate him.
On April 20, 2009 at about 08:45 a.m. Deputies located Inglis in South Beach and took him into custody without incident. Inglis was lodged at the Lincoln County Jail for Assault III; Fail to Perform Duties of a Driver (Injury); Reckless Driving; and Reckless Endangering x 2, with a total bail $145,000.
