On March 28, 2009 Deputy Colin Teem with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the Lincoln County Jail for an assault on two Corrections Deputies. Investigation revealed while Corrections Deputies were moving inmate Ricky Dale Miller age 47 of Newport, OR to his cell he became combative. Miller pushed a Corrections Deputy to the ground injuring the Deputy. Other Deputies responded to the incident and one other Deputy subsequently received a minor injury.
Ricky Dale Miller was lodged at LCJ on two counts of Assaulting a Public Safety Officer with a bail set at $100,000.00.
