Summary:

On March 23, 2009 Lincoln County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a two vehicle traffic crash on Bayview Rd. near Highland Circle. Upon arrival Sr. Deputy Cummings observed two vehicle off the road with one vehicle on its side. Sr. Deputy Cummings contacted the driver of one of the vehicles involved in the crash and observed signs of impairment. Sr. Deputy Cummings conducted a DUII Investigation and arrested a 17 year old female for Driving While Under the Influence of Intoxicants. The 17 year old was transported to Samaritan Pacific Community Hospital for injuries she sustained in the traffic crash. The 17 year old was cited and released to her parents at the hospital. The 17 year old was also arrested for Reckless Driving, Minon in Possession of Alcohol and received a traffic citation for Driving without an Operator's License.

On March 23, 2009, while Sr. Deputy Cummings of the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office was conducting a DUII traffic crash investigation, the registered owner of the vehicle, identified as 18 year old Kaisea M. McElroy of Waldport, Oregon, reported her vehicle as stolen. Ms. McElroy filed a police report stating the 17 year old female driver of the vehicle had taken the car without permission prior to wrecking it.

Sr. Deputy Cummings followed up on the stolen vehicle report and upon completing his investigation arrested Ms. McElroy for Initiating a False Police Report, Furnishing Alcohol to a Minor x 2, Reckless Endangering Another and Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Ms. McElroy was cited and released to appear in Lincoln County Circuit Court for Arraignment.
