Summary:
On March 2, 2009 at 4:55pm, Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy Bary Bruster responded to a report of hit and run with property damage at Mp 2 Hwy 18 in Otis Oregon. The victim had followed the driver of the suspect vehicle to a residence at Mp 4 Hwy 18.
The investigation revealed that the driver of the suspect vehicle, 40 year old Roasalee Imel of Otis, left the scene of a traffic crash involving property damage without providing her insurance, vehicle, and driver information. Deputy Bruster contacted Imel at mile post 4 on Highway 18 and conducted an investigation. The investigation revealed that Imel had attempted to pass the victim vehicle at MP 2 on Hwy 18. The illegal pass was made in a no passing lane. The vehicles had collided and the victim vehicle was damaged by Imel's vehicle.
Imel was subsequently arrested for reckless driving. Imel was cited and released at the scene.
