Summary:
On March 2nd, 2009 at 5:42 pm, deputies with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a possible DUII in the Alsea Bay Market parking lot.
Deputies located William Allen Thompson, 54, of Yachats sitting on the tailgate of his pickup in the parking lot, he was visibly intoxicated. An investigation revealed Thompson had driven himself to the location, in his current condition, attempting to by more beer.
Thompson was arrested for DUII and transported to the Lincoln County Jail where he provided a breath sample of 0.19 %. Thompson's bail was set at $15,000.
