Summary:
On February 22nd 2009 at 5:40 pm, Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy Cliff Sites initiated a traffic stop on a tan Dodge Dakota on Hwy 229 near Milepost 25 for suspision of DUII. A concerned citizen had reported seeing an intoxicated male get into the vehicle and drive east from the Newport area. Deputy Sites also observed the vehicle swerve over the fog line several times as he followed it. During contact with the driver, Bradley Lewis Pellet 49 of Siletz, Deputy Sites noted signs of impairment. An investigation revealed Pellet was Driving Under the Influence of Intxicants. Pellet was arrested DUII and RECKLESS DRIVING and transported to the Lincoln County Jail where he refused to provide a breath sample . Pellet was lodged at the jal with a total bail of $30,000.
