Summary:

On February 13, 2009 at approximately 2:28 am, a deputy with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office noticed a vehicle driving east on E Olive St without headlights. The deputy stopped the vehicle on E Olive St in the area of US Bank and made contact with the driver. The driver was exhibiting severe signs of impairment and a DUII investigation was initiated. William Vincent Hahn, 19, of Newport, OR, failed all sobriety tests administered, was arrested for DUII then transported to the Lincoln County Jail. Hahn's vehicle was impounded and towed from the scene. After arriving at the jail Hahn provided a breath sample which showed negative for alcohol. A drug recognition expert (DRE) responded to the jail and evaluated Hahn further. Hahn was ultimetly lodged in jail for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants (alcohol or other drugs) with bail set at $15,000.00.
