Summary:
On January 31st, 2009 at 8:00 pm, a 51 year old Yachats man reported that he had been assaulted at a residence in the 6000 block of NE Colfax St. The man suffered a broken wrist and had bruising over several areas of his body. An investigation revealed that John Henry Grader, 44, of Yachats, had attacked the man in his residence during an argument over a key. Sgt Mark Meister & Deputy Cliff Sites of the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office and a Trooper with the Oregon State Police located Grader in a shop outside the residence. Grader was arrested on a charge of ASSAULT II and lodged at the Lincoln County Jail with a total bail of $250,000.
