Summary:
On 1-17-09, at about 9:25 PM, Deputy Sorby with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to a possible traffic crash on South Bay Rd at about MP 1.5 in Toledo. When Deputy Sorby arrived on scene several people had ran into the woods. Deputy Sorby located the driver, Matthew Ludwig, 19, of Toledo, hiding in the bushes near the water. Upon further investigation Deputy Sorby learned that Ludwig was intoxicated. Ludwig was taken into custody after he failed field sobriety tests. Ludwig was transported to the Lincoln County Jail where he registered a .12% BAC. Ludwig was lodged at the Jail on DUII and Reckless Endangering charges. Ludgwig’s bail was set at $30,000.00.
