Summary:
On January 7, 2009 at or about 1:00pm, Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputies and Lincoln County Parole & Probation Officers responded to a residence in the 1300 Block of Logsden Road, Siletz, Oregon on a report of stolen property being located at that address. An outboard motor which had been reported stolen to the sheriff's office on October 6, 2008 from Sunset Landing in Kernville was located along with other property from that report. A wheel barrel, which had been reported stolen to the sheriff's office that morning from a residence on Hamer Road near Siletz, was also recovered. A search of the suspect's vehicle revealed tools which could be used to facilitate or commit forcible entry into premises. A 44 year old Siletz man, David Kevin Goodell, was arrested at the scene and charged with Theft 1st degree by Receiving, Theft 2nd degree and Possession of Burglary Tools. He was lodged at Lincoln County Jail with a total bail of $80,000.
