Summary:
On January 3rd 2009 shortly after 4:00 am, Deputies with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a man with a head wound near Milepost 8, on Ecman Creek Road.
Deputies found Brett Calvin Williams, 46,of Waldport laying in the canopy of his truck, bleeding from his head. An investigation revealed Williams' wife, Kari Amber Williams, 51, had reportedly struck him in the head with an axe. Williams had been able to leave the scene on his own and had driven to his current location.
The investigation also revealed that Brett Williams had struck Kari Williams in the face earlier in the evening.
Deputies arrested Kari Williams for ASSAULT II- DV and UNLAWFUL USE OF A WEAPON. She was lodged at the Lincoln County Jail with a total bail of $300,000.
Brett Williams transported to PCH by Central Coast Fire and Rescue, he was issued a citation for ASSAULT IV- DV, after his release from the hospital.
