Summary:
On December 11, 2008 Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy Derek Etheridge was dispatched to a possible DUII in the area of the Alsea Bay Bridge in Waldport, Oregon. A caller described the vehicle as swerving all over the road and driving into oncoming traffic. Deputy Etheridge located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Highway 101 and SW Range Drive. Deputy Etheridge contacted the driver, 55 year old William J. Crafton of Lincoln City, and conducted a DUII investigation. Crafton was taken into custody for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants and Reckless Driving following the investigation. Crafton was transported to the Lincoln County Jail where he provided a breath sample disclosing his BAC as .15%. His bail was set at $30,000.
