Summary:
On November 5, 2008 Newport Police Department took a stolen vehicle report of a green 1994 Dodge Caravan. The vehicle was reported as possibly traveling south on U.S. Hwy 101 toward Waldport, Oregon. Additionally, Luanne C. Flanagan, age 39 from Waldport, was listed as a suspect. Lincoln County Sheriff's Sr. Deputy Lance Cummings and Deputy Barry Bruster later located Ms. Flanagan at her residence. Flanagan admitted to taking the vehicle and reported she had left it at a residence on Lemwick Lane in Yachats.
After completing an investigation Sr. Deputy Cummings arrested Ms. Flanagan on charges of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Theft I and Unlawful Entry into a Motor Vehicle. Ms. Flanagan was lodged at the Lincoln County Jail where her bail was set at $115,000.00. Deputy Bruster located the vehicle on Lemwick Lane and assisted the victim with recovering her vehicle.
