Summary:
At about 12:50 am, 24 October 2008, your Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to a complaint of three male subjects riding a golf cart on the grounds at Crestview Hills Golf Course, Waldport. Investigation revealed that person(s) had entered the maintenance shop and stole one of the golf carts. The cart was located abandoned with extensive damage.
At about 10:22 pm, 24 October 2008, your Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to a complaint of a broken water fountain at the Crestview Heights School, Waldport. Investigation revealed that subject(s) had actually broken into the school and caused extensive damage to the interior of the building. The subjects also discharged fire extinguishers inside several busses and a private vehicle that were parked at the school.
Deputies Colin Teem and Derek Etheridge, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, conducted an extensive investigation into both incidents. On 26 October 2008, Deputies Teem and Etheridge took three juvenile males, ages 16 and 17 years old, Waldport, into custody. The subjects were lodged at the Lincoln County Juvenile Detention Center on charges of Burglary II, Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, Unlawful Entry into Vehicle, Criminal Mischief I, Criminal Mischief II, and Theft III.
