Summary:
On October 3, 2008 at 12:35pm, Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputies Bruce McGuire and Bary Bruster responded to a report of a vehicle crashing into the front of the Logsden Store in Logsden, Oregon. The driver reportedly fled the scene in a 2004 blue Chevrolet pickup.
During a search of the area, Deputy Mcguire located the vehicle parked along Logsden Road near milepost 4. Deputy Mcguire contacted a single occupant sitting the driver's seat and identified her as 49 year old Kathleen Ann Manning of Siletz. Investigation revealed Manning had left the scene of a traffic crash involving property damage without providing information required of a driver involved in a traffic crash.
During contact with Manning, Deputy Mcguire observed signs of impairment. Deputy Mcguire conducted a DUII investigation and subsequently arrested Manning for Driving under the influence of intoxicants, Misdemeanor driving while suspended, and Failing to perform the duties of a driver when property is damaged. Manning was lodged in the Lincoln County Jail. Her bail was set at $45,000.
