Summary:
On September 8th, 2008 Lincoln County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a single vehicle non-injury traffic crash near 2428 E. Eckman Crk. Rd. in Waldport, Oregon. The driver was reported to be intoxicated. Prior to law enforcement arrival on scene Animal Control Officer Denue and Tyler, from the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, observed the vehicle in motion. Animal Control Officer Denue and Tyler followed the vehicle onto a spur road off of E. Eckman Crk Rd and blocked the vehicle in until law enforcement officers could arrival.
Upon arrival Sr. Deputy Cummings contacted the driver, later identified as Misty J. Statham, age 30 from Waldport, Oregon and observed several signs of impairment. Sr. Deputy Cummings conducted a DUII Investigation and arrested Ms. Statham for Driving While Under the Influence of Intoxicants, Reckless Driving and Driving While Suspended (Misdemeanor). Ms. Statham was transported to the Lincoln County jail where she provided a breath sample. Her BAC was measured at .18%. Ms. Statham's vehicle was Impounded and she received a traffic citation for having an Open Container inside the Vehicle.
