Summary:
On August 27, 2008 at approximately 7:00pm, Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy Cliff Sites responded to a report of an assault at a residence in the 100 block of SW Wakonda Beach Road in Waldport, Oregon.
The investigation revealed Erin Noel Hess, 33, of Waldport, had forced entry into a residence at the location to use the telephone for long distance calling. Hess was contacted at the location and taken into custody by Deputy Sites.
Investigation also revealed the homeowner, 60 year old John Francis Burton, had driven himself to the scene while intoxicated. Folling a DUII investigation, Deputy Sites placed Burton in custody as well.
Hess was transported and lodged at the Lincoln County Jail on one count of Burglary in the 1st degree. Her bail was set at $100,000.
Burton was transported to the jail where he provided a breath sample of .13%. Burton was lodged on one count of Driving under the influence of intoxicants. His bail was set at $7500.00.
