Summary:
On August 24, 2008 at approximately 9:08PM, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the 300 Block of SE 98th St. in South Beach, Oregon for a single vehicle traffic crash.
Deputies arrived on scene and spoke to the driver of the vehicle. The driver was identified as James Harvey Rice, 62 years of age of Seal Rock, Oregon. While Deputies spoke to Rice he displayed signs of impairment. Deputy Colin Teem conducted a DUII investigation and subsequently placed Rice under arrest for DUII.
Rice was transported to the Lincoln County Jail where he refused a breath test. Rice was lodged for DUII and received citations for Possession of Marijuana Less than 1oz. and Refusal of a Breath Test. Rice’s bail was set at $7,500.00.
