Summary:
On 08/13/08 at approximately 3:51 PM, Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to a reported hit-and-run traffic crash in the Alsea Bay Market parking lot in Waldport. An investigation revealed that Ann Chandler, age 73 of Yachats, backed out of a parking stall and hit another parked vehicle. Despite attempts by the occupant of the other vehicle to get her attention, Chandler drove away from the scene without exchanging driver and insurance information. Deputies issued Chandler a citation for failing to perform the duties of a driver in a traffic collision where property damage has occurred with a bail set at $1,124.
